What will create the most effective mosquito repellent in the year 2022?
Is it the potency of the product, as measured by the amount of DEET it contains?
Is it the one that has the most delicate aroma and doesn’t make you feel as if you’re being suffocated by it? Or is it a spray that has an extraordinarily extended shelf life and ensures that you will be completely protected against insects and mosquitoes when you are out and about throughout the day while you are on vacation?
Whatever it is that makes a repellent worthy of being called the best mosquito repellent in the year 2022, you are going to want one that protects you and maybe even the rest of your family from being bitten to death by those pesky insects.
My research on the topic of the most effective mosquito repellent in 2022 has been broken down into a number of unique categories. You may buy the greatest mosquito repellent for kids that is also the best overall, the best smelling, the best long-lasting, and even the best long-lasting!
When you’re just trying to relax and enjoy yourself on vacation, having a swarm of bugs and other insects swarm all over you may be really irritating. I know this all too well. If you find that following this extensive advice helps reduce the amount of annoyance you experience in warmer climates, then consider your mission accomplished.
Avoid this repellent
However, the Thermacell R-4 Mosquito Repellent Refills are a mosquito repellent that I do not like for very much and do not recommend.
This is because I’ve been made aware of an overwhelming number of complaints on how ineffectual they are. You won’t really be spraying anything on your skin; rather, you will be creating a barrier around your body that insects and mosquitoes won’t be able to enter.
On the other hand, according to what I’ve read about Thermacell R-4 refills on the internet, they aren’t very effective, and it would be preferable for you to purchase sprays instead.

1. Sawyer Premium Mosquito Repellent – best overall
Top rated bug repellent by WireCutter/New York Times (May, 2022); maximize protection by pairing with Sawyer Permethrin tick and insect repellent spray for clothing and gearCheck Price
When I was doing research for my advice on how to choose the finest mosquito repellent in 2022, I kept coming across recommendations for Sawyer Premium Mosquito Repellent as the product that stood out as being superior to the other options.
Not only does it get praise from a myriad of online resources and review platforms, but I’ve also heard wonderful things about it from some of my friends who have used it and evaluated it in real life situations.
I believe that this product deserves the praise that it has received. As a result, I do not have any reservations in claiming that it is the most effective mosquito repellent available in the year 2022.
Because it does not include DEET, the Sawyer Premium Mosquito Repellent is distinguished from the rest of the products in its category.
When it comes to fighting against mosquitoes and other pesky insects and pests, this picaridin formulation at a concentration of 20 percent is said to be just as efficient as DEET. However, neither the intensity nor the potency of the odour are nearly the same.
It has been shown that picaridin is equally as efficient as DEET in warding off mosquito bites; but, unlike DEET, it does not leave behind a greasy residue.
You’ll know just how unpleasant and severe it is if you’ve ever accidently breathed too forcefully while spraying insect spray containing DEET; if this has happened to you, you’ll know precisely how it feels!
Sawyer Premium Mosquito Repellent is available in a wide variety of bottles and containers, so you may choose the one that best suits your needs and preferences. This is one more reason why I believe it is the most effective insect spray available.
For instance, there are certain individuals who want a direct spray that is applied directly to the skin. Others may like a lotion that comes in a pump container, while others may prefer a lotion that you massage into your skin.
The beauty of the Sawyer Premium Mosquito Repellent is that it comes in such a wide variety of bottles, tubes, and spray cans that you are able to choose one that is most suited to the manner in which you want to apply it.
In addition, the Sawyer Premium Mosquito Repellent is suitable for use on any member of the household, and it does not ruin or stain garments or any other types of fibres.
There is a claim made by the Sawyer brand that their Premium Mosquito Repellent can keep mosquitoes away for up to 12 hours. On the other hand, based on what I’ve gathered from reading a variety of review sources on the internet, you should anticipate a staying power of around 8 hours. This is still quite great since it means that you can apply it in the morning before you set out for the day, and you shouldn’t really have to worry about reapplying it over the course of the day.
One of the only drawbacks that I read about this mosquito repellent was that because it does not contain DEET, it is not quite as powerful or strong, and as a result, it does not perform quite as well in environments where you can anticipate a wide variety of different bugs and insects, such as on hiking expeditions in the forest, for example. This is one of the only drawbacks that I read about this mosquito repellent.
However, the Sawyer Premium Mosquito Repellent is an excellent choice for day-to-day usage if you are traveling with your family to warmer areas where mosquitoes and midges are likely to reside. This product may be applied to exposed skin and clothing.
- It takes many forms
- The whole family will enjoy it
- Not quite strong enough for hiking protection
2. Natrapel Mosquito Repellent – best sell out
This naturally repelling oil-based formula is DEET-free & GMO-free. Use Kids Herbal Armor DEET-Free Natural Insect Repellent to keep bugs away, so they can enjoy the outdoors, naturally.Check Price
Another one of the finest mosquito repellents for 2020, the Natrapel Mosquito Repellent, keeps popping up time and time again as a contender for the title. And since it seemed to be in such great demand, I felt it would be a good idea to place it on this list as the “second in command” item!
The Sawyer mosquito repellent is often contrasted with the Natrapel mosquito repellent, but there are, of course, a few subtle distinctions between the two.
To begin, it seems to be in much more demand than the Sawyer Premium Mosquito Repellent since I read many reviews of individuals who had trouble purchasing it during the height of the summer; also known as the time of year when people use bug repellent the most!
It goes without saying that the product’s popularity and how quickly it sells out are strong indicators that the product is excellent and that consumers adore it.
This is undeniably an excellent justification for wanting to go ahead and get it. But on the other side, if it’s always sold out and you just can’t seem to get your hands on it, then that can be pretty aggravating as well!
In spite of the fact that it is packaged in a container designed for spraying a fine mist, the Sawyer Mosquito Repellent is superior than the Natrapel Mosquito Repellent in terms of its ability to repel mosquitoes in an even and consistent manner.
As long as you pay attention to what you’re doing and try to be as exact as possible while you’re spraying the Natrapel Mosquito Repellent, this shouldn’t present too much of a problem.
The Natrapel Mosquito Repellent is very efficient in warding off the itchy bites that may be caused by mosquitoes and a wide variety of other insects for the whole family.
Furthermore, despite the fact that the Natrapel Mosquito Repellent includes picaridin (the same as Sawyer) and not DEET, I’ve heard a few individuals report that it still has quite a strong perfume aroma. This is despite the fact that picaridin is the active ingredient in both products.
Despite this, you shouldn’t let it deter you too much from your goal. The Natrapel Mosquito Repellent is one of the most efficient products available for warding off the irritating bites caused by mosquitoes and other insects for the whole household.
One review that I saw online said that it worked efficiently even while the reviewer was using it while trekking through muddy wetlands, which is a known breeding area for all sorts of critters that love to bite.
In conclusion, the Natrapel Mosquito Repellent is an effective mosquito repellent that should be used. And the fact that it has a tendency to be sold out very quickly during the summer months is simply evidence to me of how many people like purchasing it.
Do not squander the chance to purchase a bottle or two if you find that you are in a position to do so.
- The whole family will enjoy it
- It can be sprayed on clothes and hair if needed
- A fairly long lasting product
- It is quite difficult to find and buy online
3. REPEL Lemon Eucalyptus Natural Mosquito Repellent – best smelling
This DEET-free insect repellent provides you with protection during adventures in the backyard and on the go.This repellent keeps you and your family protected for hours, so the fun doesn’t have to end.Check Price
The REPEL Lemon Eucalyptus Natural Mosquito Repellent is another product that does not contain DEET (for more information on DEET, see the section at the bottom of this page). It made it onto my list of the best mosquito repellents in 2020 due to the fact that it is generally considered to have the most pleasant aroma.
The overwhelming fragrance that you get from repellents that include DEET is far worse and less pleasant than this one, despite the fact that I’ve been told that it does have a tendency to have a rather strong lemon flavour.
Because it does not include any unpleasant or potentially hazardous chemicals or substances, it is safe for the whole family to use.
Another fantastic spray that the entire family may benefit from is the REPEL Lemon Eucalyptus Natural Mosquito Repellent. This product can be used to any exposed skin.
This is due to the fact that it does not contain any nasty or harmful chemicals or ingredients, but rather uses natural ingredients that have been approved by the CDC and have been shown to be effective in warding off ticks and mosquitoes as well as lowering the risk of contracting any harmful diseases or illnesses.
According to the manufacturer, the REPEL Lemon Eucalyptus Natural Mosquito Repellent should be effective for up to 8 hours, however according to the information that I was able to collect from a variety of online review sources, the majority of users needed to reapply the product every six hours.
Even while the staying strength of the REPEL Lemon Eucalyptus Natural Mosquito Repellent isn’t quite as excellent as that of some of its rivals, I think that using it for a period of six hours is still a very decent value for the money.
It is my opinion that purchasing an insect or mosquito repellent with a staying capacity of much less than six hours is not a wise investment. Not only will you have to reapply the repellent often, but you will also go through more bottles of it more quickly.
You have the option of purchasing this mosquito repellent in packages containing 1, 2, or 6 spray bottles, giving you the flexibility to pick the quantity that is most appropriate for the amount of product that you will use.
Even though it might not be quite as long-lasting as some of the other mosquito repellents that are featured on this list, I would still highly recommend the REPEL Lemon Eucalyptus Natural Mosquito Repellent due to the fact that it has a pleasant scent of lemon eucalyptus and that it is safe to use around children. In addition to this, it is suitable for use around pets.
- DEET is not included
- Smells good
- Packs available in a variety of sizes
- A bit short-lived compared to some others
4. Avon Skin-so-Soft Mosquito Repellent – best sunscreen and repellent
Gentle Breeze Scent 4 fl. oz. Deet Free PABA-Free SPF 30 sunscreen lotionCheck Price
In recent years, my wife has been telling me so many great things about the Avon Skin-so-Soft products, so when I found out that they had their own mosquito repellent too, I just knew that I had to do some further investigating so that I could include it in this roundup of products. I hope you find this roundup helpful!
In addition to being an efficient insect repellent, the Avon Skin-so-Soft Mosquito Repellent also functions as a sunscreen with a protection factor of 30.
This ensures that it is suited for use by the entire family and in a diverse range of environments, including those with a wide range of temperatures and weather conditions. You will not only have a great degree of protection from the harsh sun rays, but you will also have a decent layer of protection against mosquitos.
The active component in Avon Skin-so-Soft Mosquito Repellent that is responsible for its effectiveness as an insect repellent is IR3535, which is thought to provide a degree of protection that is comparable to that provided by picaridin.
You should only use the Avon Skin-so-Soft Mosquito Repellent in regions of the world where being bitten by mosquitoes is a possibility, but where it is very improbable that you would get sick as a result of their bites.
Even if it is supposed to be moderately good in repelling insects, it is possible that it will not perform very well in nations and locations where diseases transmitted by mosquitoes and ticks are prevalent.
For this reason, I would only advocate using the Avon Skin-so-Soft Mosquito Repellent in regions of the world where it is possible to be bitten by mosquitoes but where it is very improbable that you would really get sick as a result of their bites.
Having said that, the Avon Skin-so-Soft Mosquito Repellent seems to be an absolute dream to apply due to the fact that it has the consistency of a sunscreen, but the efficacy of an insect repellent.
I really despise having to use any lotion, cream, or spray that leaves my skin feeling particularly greasy and oily, therefore I really appreciate the fact that this mosquito repellent is reasonably non-greasy. This is something that I personally adore about this insect repellent.
The Avon Skin-so-Soft Mosquito Repellent is also safe to use on newborns and children older than 6 months old, so if you’re going on a trip with your entire family, you can have peace of mind knowing that everyone will be adequately protected against mosquito bites!
Although it may not be nearly as effective as products that include stronger repellent ingredients, the Avon Skin-so-Soft Mosquito Repellent is an excellent option for a mosquito repellent since it also acts as a sunscreen.
- It also contains sunscreen
- Protective and moisturizing
- It is relatively oil-free
- It must be reapplied frequently since it doesn’t last very long
5. Quantum Buzz-Away Mosquito Repellent – best all-natural
KEEPS BUGS AT BAY – Get much needed outdoor relief from mosquitos, black flies, gnats, and no-see-ums; sweat proof and waterproof. A must have for weekend trips, camping, and travel. FEATURING A POWERFUL, PROPRIETARY FORMULA – Citronella oil help repel insects and provide the terrific scent our customers love.Check Price
If you are especially apprehensive about putting insect repellents to your skin that include a wide variety of substances that you have never heard of before, then the Quantum Buzz-Away Mosquito Repellent will be of great interest to you.
This natural spray does not include any man-made chemicals like as DEET, picaridin, or IR3535; rather, it is made up of solely natural substances such as soybean oil, cedarwood oil, citronella oil, and peppermint oil.
The Quantum Buzz-Away Mosquito Repellent isn’t quite as efficient as some of the other sprays and lotions on our list since the natural components it contains don’t quite have the intensity or power to totally repel mosquitoes and other insects. However, it is still a good option to consider.
It is thus reasonable to assume that you will need to reapply the Quantum Buzz-Away Mosquito Repellent around every hour if you want to be certain that you will get the highest level of protection that is feasible.
I believe that the Quantum Buzz-Away Mosquito Repellent is an excellent product that offers an excellent trade-off between protecting the entire family from flies, ticks, and mosquitos, and ensuring that you are only using all-natural ingredients on your skin. I think this product is an excellent product.
It is completely up to you to decide whether you would want to have consistently high levels of protection or if you would rather reapply the product more regularly and make certain that it contains only natural elements.
Regarding the aroma of the Quantum Buzz-Away Mosquito Repellent, I’ve heard conflicting opinions from different people.
As it does not have the powerful odour that is associated with products containing DEET, some individuals believe that it has a scent that is far more agreeable. On the other hand, there are many who believe that the odour, despite the fact that it isn’t particularly offensive, is fairly pronounced due to the mix of all of the various natural elements.
Insect repellents that don’t have the overpowering scent of DEET are automatically winners in my eyes, and I’m happy to recommend any of them to anybody who asks!
In general, the Quantum Buzz-Away Mosquito Repellent is an excellent mosquito repellent due to the fact that it contains natural chemicals, that it is safe to use on children, and that it does not feel too greasy when applied.
- Kids will love it
- It’s not too greasy
- Ingredients that are all natural
- Not quite as highly effective as others as it is all-natural
6. 3M Ultrathon Insect Repellent Lotion– best long-lasting
Contains 34.34% DEET for superb protection against insect bites Proven to repel mosquitoes, ticks, biting flies, chiggers, gnats, fleas and deer flies Repels mosquitoes that may carry Zika Virus, West Nile Virus, Dengue Fever, Chikungunya and deer ticks that may carry Lyme DiseaseCheck Price
The 3M Ultrathon Insect Repellent Lotion is without a doubt the one you need to take into consideration if you are searching for a mosquito repellent that is very efficient, lasts for a very long time, and has a very long lasting impact.
This insect repellent features 34.34 percent DEET, which, like with any active ingredient, has both positive and negative properties.
The disadvantages of using an insect repellent that contains DEET are that it is a highly potent chemical, has a very strong odour, and, as a result, may feel extremely uncomfortable to apply and use.
You will, however, benefit from a high degree of protection against a variety of pests and insects if you use mosquito repellents that include DEET. This is a significant advantage of utilising these products.
It is claimed that the 3M Ultrathon Insect Repellent Lotion provides over 12 hours of long-lasting protection against mosquitoes and ticks, and based on the information I’ve gathered from a variety of web sources, I can absolutely attest to this remarkable level of durability.
It incorporates controlled release technology, which offers you a consistent degree of protection at all times.
The fact that the 3M Ultrathon Insect Repellent Lotion incorporates controlled release technology, which offers you with a continual degree of protection throughout the day, is one of the excellent standout aspects that I personally found to be really fascinating about the product.
You should really only need to apply this once a day, and then you should be ready to go. The number of times you need to apply it will depend on how long you expect to spend outdoors.
Even some of the other insect repellents mentioned on this list, which may need you to reapply the product numerous times during the day, are no match for the quality and effectiveness of this one.
If you don’t mind the fact that the 3M Ultrathon Bug Repellent Lotion includes a rather high dose of DEET and you’d rather be well-protected for hours on end, then I believe that this is an excellent insect repellent for you to use.
Since of the high concentration of DEET and other chemicals, I would suggest using this repellent on small children with extreme care because their skin is more susceptible to irritation than that of adults.
On the other hand, the 3M Ultrathon Insect Repellent Lotion is an excellent option for people who are looking for a mosquito repellent that is powerful and long-lasting and that will protect them throughout the day in a variety of climates and environments. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, read on.
- Protection for 12+ hours
- Mosquitoes and other insects are well protected by this product
- The percentage of DEET is quite high
7. Babyganics Insect & Mosquito Repellent – best for kids
Made without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrances or dyes Made with plant & essential oils of citronella, peppermint, rosemary, lemongrass and geranium Plant and essential oils help keep mosquitoes away Product not tested on animalsCheck Price
An all-natural bug and insect spray is provided by Babyganics, which, like the Quantum Buzz-Away Mosquito Repellent, is known as the Babyganics Insect & Mosquito Repellent.
Citronella oil, cedarwood oil, geranium oil, and peppermint oil are some of the natural substances that are used in the Babyganics Insect & Mosquito Repellent. These ingredients are used rather of chemicals such as DEET or picaridin.
However, soybean oil accounts for the great majority of the composition of this insect repellent, which is mostly oil-based (over 95 percent ).
Unfortunately, the Babyganics Insect & Mosquito Repellent contains such a large quantity of oil-based products that it feels extremely oily when applied and can leave a residue on your skin for a short period of time before it fully absorbs into your skin.
This is because oil-based products have a higher surface area than water-based products do.
If you can get past the oily sensation, then the Babyganics Insect & Mosquito Repellent is an excellent insect and mosquito repellent that the entire family may use. Personally, I wouldn’t appreciate that feeling at all, but if you can get over that, then the product is amazing.
Because it is safe for use on infants as young as a few months old, I believe the Babyganics Insect & Mosquito Repellent will be the most effective mosquito repellent on the market in the year 2020 for children.
However, one thing to keep in mind about this product is that owing to the high amounts of oil products utilised as components, it may be known to attract bees thanks to the sweet-smelling essential oils that it contains. Keeping this in mind is important.
Even though I haven’t heard of any problems with bee stings, you should take this into consideration if you or anybody in your family has an allergy to bees. In that case, you may not want to use this product since there is a possibility that it may attract bees.
The Babyganics Insect & Mosquito Repellent might not be quite as long-lasting or as highly effective as some stronger insect repellents, but it is a great contender for the best mosquito repellent in 2020 for children thanks to its predominant use of all-natural ingredients and essential oils.
This is because of the Babyganics Insect & Mosquito Repellent’s predominant use of all-natural ingredients and essential oils.
- Children and babies can benefit from this product
- Ingredients derived from nature
- Suitable for low-risk mosquito areas
- The smell is quite strong and oily
8. REPEL HG-24101 6 Oz Sportsmen Max Insect Repellent – best for sports
REPELS: Create a barrier against mosquitoes, including those that may transmit the Zika, West Nile, Dengue and Chikungunya viruses, ticks, gnats, biting flies, chiggers and fleas CONTAINS 40% DEET: Provides long-lasting protection in the great outdoorsCheck Price
Although it goes without saying that all of the mosquito repellents that are featured on this list are intended to be used outside, the REPEL HG-24101 6 Oz Sportsmen Max Insect Repellent is possibly the best product available if you are looking for protection throughout the day in a wide range of climatic and environmental conditions.
Due to the fact that it includes 40 percent DEET, I believe the REPEL HG-24101 6 Oz Sportsmen Max Insect Repellent is the most effective insect repellent for use during sports and other types of active outdoor activities.
This indicates that it is quite good in warding off fleas, ticks, gnats, mosquitoes, and other types of biting flies and flies that cause other types of bites.
The REPEL HG-24101 6 Oz Sportsmen Max Insect Repellent has a high concentration of DEET, which makes it extremely efficient in warding off mosquitoes that may be carrying illnesses such as dengue and zika.
The REPEL HG-24101 6 Oz Sportsmen Max Insect Repellent is an excellent choice for you if you are going to be engaging in a lot of outdoor activities while you are travelling to countries and if you anticipate being exposed to a lot of mosquitoes and ticks in swampy, dense fields or water-based areas. If this describes your travel plans, read on.
You should be aware that it has a high concentration of DEET, which means that you will need to carefully consider the potential benefits and drawbacks of applying a substance with such a high concentration to your skin.
Instead of using a spray like Babyganics or Quantum Buzz-Away, for instance, I believe that the REPEL HG-24101 6 Oz Sportsmen Max Insect Repellent is a far superior option for frequent outdoor activities in areas where dangerous mosquitos will be prevalent. I have come to this conclusion based on my own personal experience.
You need to make sure that you obtain as much protection as you can while travelling to high-risk regions, and I believe that the REPEL HG-24101 6 Oz Sportsmen Max Insect Repellent will be of great assistance in this endeavour.
- A long-lasting effect
- A great choice for outdoor activities and sports
- Pump is easy to use
- Contents of DEET are strong
9. Ben’s 100% DEET Mosquito, Tick and Insect Repellent Pump Spray – best compact size
Around-the-Clock Performance with 10 hours of protection from a single application. Maximum Protection with 100% DEET, no filler – for areas of maximum infestation. Fragrance free so you can smell the great outdoors, not your repellent. Portable protection with the bottle fits anywhere.Check Price
Although it is called “100 percent repellent,” Ben’s 100 percent DEET Mosquito, Tick and Insect Repellent Pump Spray only contains a 98 percent concentration of the active ingredient DEET. This means that it does not provide the complete protection promised by its name.
It goes without saying that this is still a very high concentration of DEET. And it is by a wide margin the DEET product with the highest concentration on our ranking of the best mosquito repellents for 2020.
It has been reported that Ben’s Mosquito, Tick and Insect Repellent Pump Spray, which contains 100 percent DEET, is effective for between 10 and 12 hours. If you don’t want to waste time reapplying during the day, this is an excellent alternative for you to consider.
However, since it contains a high concentration of DEET, it should not be used on infants or young children because the chemicals aren’t designed for the delicate skin of those age groups.
Because it is of a size that is acceptable to the TSA, you are permitted to bring it on board in your carry-on baggage provided that it is contained inside a transparent plastic bag.
The fact that the Ben’s 100 percent DEET Mosquito, Tick and Insect Repellent Pump Spray is a TSA-compliant size is one of the main reasons I decided to include it in my list of the best insect repellents in 2020.
This indicates that you are permitted to bring it on board the aircraft in your carry-on baggage so long as it is contained inside a transparent plastic bag. If you travel with just carry-on baggage, you won’t have to worry about it being lost or stolen this way. However, you are required to have bug repellent with you at all times.
In addition, despite the fact that this insect repellent has a high concentration of DEET, I’ve learned from a wide variety of different sources that it has a pretty muted or nonexistent scent. Some individuals have said that, despite the fact that it does not precisely smell like roses, they were able to tolerate the odour, rather than finding it to be outright disagreeable.
It is my opinion that the Ben’s 100 percent DEET Mosquito, Tick and Insect Repellent Pump Spray will be the best mosquito repellent in 2020 if you are looking for a small, compact travel-sized spray that will have a very long shelf life and will repel mosquitos that carry viruses such as Zika, Lyme Disease, and Dengue Fever. If you are interested in purchasing this product, please click here.
- Protection that lasts for a long time
- Fragrances are not overpowering
- TSA-approved and small enough to travel with
- DEET content is high
What is DEET?
In 1946, in order to prevent troops from being exposed to places with a high number of insects, the United States Army created DEET. There are now many products on the market that you can use to repel mosquitoes and other insects and bugs using DEET.
Many companies and brands have released their own version of DEET products over the course of the past seventy or more years, and there have been many different versions of these products.
It is not quite apparent whether or whether DEET has a particularly high risk of damage to humans; yet, it is certain that it is very efficient at warding off insects and mosquitoes.
More myths about DEET debunked with the following information!
On this page, you’ll also discover information on some of the possible hazards and risks associated with using DEET products.
How to choose the best mosquito repellent
The following are some of my favorite tips for choosing mosquito and insect repellents.
- Try to choose a product that has a lengthy shelf life. I would suggest at least six or more hours of protection from a spray containing DEET, picaridin, or IR3535, and I would recommend at least one hour of protection from an all-natural spray.
- Think about whether or not you want to use a product that contains DEET. They are often far more efficient and last for a longer period of time, but they are quite potent and have a highly pungent odour.
- You should give the product’s label a read before making a purchase so that you are aware of the precise quantities of each component of the insect repellent.
- Make sure that the insect repellent you choose is safe for use on children before applying it to them. The vast majority of repellents should be safe for children older than six months, but the safety instructions for individual products might vary, so it is important to carefully check.
- Consider how the insect repellent should be applied to avoid being bitten. Is it a bottle that dispenses lotion, spray, or pump? In spite of the fact that it may not seem to be all that significant, it will in fact have a significant impact on whether or not the application process will be enjoyable.
