The Dsptch Daypack Review is a well-designed minimalist pack that is both utilitarian and made to last a lifetime, according to its proponents. But how fantastic is it, exactly? After all, choosing an EDC backpack is a serious decision that should be taken into account since it will be your daily companion for months, if not years to come.
A tailored experience would be ideal for you. Furthermore, you want it to be adaptable to a variety of contexts – whether at work, on walks with friends, or on overnight vacations with family – and it should be capable of handling almost everything you throw at it.
Aside from practical organization and comfort in this situation, a major advantage is also related to practicality and comfort. As a result, how does the Dsptch Daypack Review do in comparison to these standards, and is it the ideal pack for you?
Let’s take a look at the DSPTCH Daypack together and find out!

DSPTCH in a Snapshot
DSPTCH (pronounced “dispatch”) is a San Francisco-based business that creates items that are useful and long-lasting, while also catering to the needs of the “modern professional.”
Since starting up in an apartment in 2010 with camera straps, they have grown their product lines to include a variety of backpacks, duffels, clothes, and other accessories such as wallet pouches and other accessories.
In addition, the brand has cooperated with well-known firms like Leica, Google, Equinox, and others. Even better, all of their goods are designed and manufactured in the United States, and they are backed by a lifetime warranty to ensure that they are of the highest quality.
Design and Quality are Important Considerations
In the first place, “Dispatch” is pronounced “Dispatch,” not “Dispatch,” as someone I know (don’t look at me) pronounces it by reading out the letters D-S-P-T-C-H!
As soon as I get that out of the way, I’ll get right into it: the Daypack is an appealing piece of luggage. We have something special for you if you want a simple style that yet manages to include many useful functions. If you are looking for something special, this is it!
It seems that the bag has been really polished and clean to the point that even the bottle pocket is contained inside the bag, and there are just a few straps, buckles, and exterior compartments to hinder its functionality. It is important that you acknowledge this and show your appreciation to them.
Available in five distinct colors, you have the choice of choosing between grey, moss, navy, olive, or black, which is my personal favorite since it fits with everything and doesn’t show stains as quickly as other colors.
While it has a stylish appearance that will work well in any setting, whether it’s the city, the workplace, on vacation, or simply out exploring in the great outdoors, one element that I really love is how it is built to perform well in all environments.
Construction & Materials
The Dsptch Daypack Review quality is exceptional, and I have no hesitation in stating that this bag will survive for many years. There were extremely high-quality materials used in the construction of this pack, including 1680D ballistic nylon on the outside and 410D nylon pack material on the inside, closed-cell foam, smooth YKK zippers, Mil-spec webbing, and Duraflex hardware.
It is not only very robust and durable, but it is also water resistant. The DWR coating on both the interior and exterior of the bag ensures that your bag and the goods within it are well protected from rain and spills.
The Daypack itself is 10x18x8 inches and weighs 2 pounds 12 oz. It has a 22L capacity and can be used for a variety of activities from the city to the peak, and its relaxed style will appeal to minimalists immediately. Due to the closed cell foam cushioning, this bag is able to maintain its upright position at all times while providing the best possible protection for your back and electronic gadgets.
On the interior, there is plenty of room and pockets for organizing, as well as a cushioned section for a laptop computer. Additionally, there are two plastic d-rings on the exterior of the bag, which are excellent for connecting various objects and accessories easily when on the road.
However, there are several aspects of its construction that are less than outstanding. The front of the bag features a vertical zipper that may make it difficult to reach anything in the bag, particularly when the bag is loaded full of objects and tight.
What’s more, there is more. The DSPTCH daypack is designed and manufactured in the United States, and it comes with a lifetime warranty for extra value.
Fit & Comfort
It features some good cushioning on the back panel, and the shoulder straps are gently curved and reinforced by a strong closed-cell foam that is also used to line the back panel of the DSPTCH daypack.
Although some customers have said that the pack is not the most comfortable, this may be due to the fact that the shoulder straps are not adequately shaped and the paddings are not sufficiently sturdy.
You see, backpacks with completely tailored shoulder straps are significantly more comfortable for people of all body types, but the Daypack falls behind in this department.
Straps for Compression
Despite the fact that the bag is not very large, there are compression straps on each side to keep the bag’s overall appearance streamlined even when it is fully loaded.
To be quite honest, I don’t believe a 22L backpack needs compression straps since it isn’t a 60L wilderness hiking pack or a large travel pack of any significance. On the other hand, if you’re going to be traveling and your luggage is already filled, you could find it useful.
Handle on the top of the Head
As a result, if you need to take a break from carrying your backpack, the thick and well-padded top grab handle will provide you with a pleasant carrying experience.
Straps for attaching Items
The two extra compression/attachment straps located on the bottom of the bag can be used to secure a sleeping mat, tripod, or jacket to the bottom of the bag. Again, it is not required, but it is always beneficial to have.
It also features a solid sternum strap and two bottom straps for securing extra goods or compressing the bottom of the bag. All that is left is to add a solid sternum strap and two bottom straps to secure your stuff, and you have yourself a pretty neat little backpack.
Storage and Organization are Important
When it comes to everyday carrying capacity (22L), the DSPTCH Daypack provides a remarkable degree of organization, accommodating anything from your laptop to tiny belongings and even an additional pair of clothing!
Vertical Compartment on the Front
This compartment also contains a little mesh pocket at the bottom, which is not a fantastic design decision on the side of the designer. The only drawback here is that the mesh pocket is located much below the main vertical pocket, making it a bit more difficult for you to get access to it. I would have preferred the pocket to be placed higher on the shelf.
Main compartment: Compartment 1
It contains a single main compartment with water bottle holders, tablet sleeves, a mesh zipped pocket, and plenty of room for larger stuff like a laptop computer. There are, however, some things I don’t like about the site’s design.
For starters, pointed things may cause the mesh zip pocket to tears, and when the bag is overloaded, it can give the appearance of being bulgy.
Pocket for a Water bottle on the inside of the Jacket
The water bottle compartment is situated within the bag in order to keep a clean exterior, so you won’t have to struggle with a cluttered or bulging bag on your shoulders. While it is admirable, I am concerned about the design since if the bottle sweats or spills, the stuff inside the bag would also get soaked.
Laptop compartment with Padding
A separate and well-padded 16-inch laptop compartment is located at the rear of the bag. Inside, it includes a Velcro closure and a strong plastic covering that keeps the backpack sturdy while also providing more room for papers that you don’t want to get rumpled.
Price
To be honest, the DSPTCH daypack is not cheap: a price of 198$ may seem a little steep for some, especially considering that items manufactured in the United States are not often inexpensive. If you’re on a tight budget, though, a less expensive option such as the North Face Borealis Backpack may be a better choice.
Note: There is an RND Edition- White Dyneema version of the DSPTCH Daypack that is much more costly at 360$ than the ordinary pack.
Warranty
We offer a lifetime guarantee on our DSPTCH Daypack. This implies that the guarantee will cover any manufacturing defects in the materials and workmanship of the pack throughout the warranty period.
It does not cover damages caused by normal wear and use, accidents, the natural disintegration of colors and materials over a long period of time and usage, or the mistreatment of airline baggage during transportation. Visit this page if you want to learn more about it.
A different option to think about is the DSPTCH RND Dyneema Daypack
If you’re looking for something that’s much tougher, lighter, and more durable, the robust DSPTCH RND Dyneema Backpack is here to help. The RND Dyneema backpack is an improved version of the RND Daypack, but it’s simply plain superior overall.
Despite the fact that both nylon and Dyneema are tough textiles, Dyneema is stronger, lighter, and more waterproof than nylon, and it can withstand greater abuse when compared to nylon. In addition, as predicted, the price of the Daypack RND Dyneema is quite a bit higher than the ordinary pack, being $60 more expensive.
Pros
Durable
The Dsptch Daypack Review is constructed of very durable material and has a sleek design and utility. It is designed to last a long time.
Aesthetics of the city
It’s smart and simple, and it’s adaptable for school, travel, hiking, and other activities without being overpowering.
Water-resistant
Bags are made of fabric, which protects contents from spills and the elements like rain.
Lightweight
With a weight of under 2 pounds, the daypack is an ultra-lightweight backpack that can be used for anything from a simple commute to a more intense outdoor trip.
Laptop compartment with a zipper
The backpack features a designated and secured pocket that can accommodate a laptop up to 16 inches in size, which is typical of current backpacks.
Warranty for the rest of your life
Should any problems arise with your bag, DSPTCH offers a lifetime guarantee. They will fix any of their products at no cost to you if they are manufactured by them.
Cons
Pads for the shoulder straps
The straps are not adequately curved, and as a result, it is not the most comfortable item to wear, particularly for extended periods of time.
A little on the expensive side
Due to the high cost, this is not the ideal solution for individuals on a limited budget.
The Internal Front Pocket is too small to hold everything:
The pocket within the front compartment is difficult to reach since it is tucked down near the bottom of the compartment.
