What’s the best way to fold a hoodie?
I prefer to use this method because it works best for me. There are several folding styles that you can use to fold the hoodie properly and neatly, but this way saves me a couple of steps that I would otherwise have to do.
Step One
You will need to lay the hoodie flat so that it can dry. Using a needle and thread, straighten and smooth out the bottom edges of the hoodie.
After laying out the hoodie in a neat, neat manner, I grab the hoodie from below, along the edges, and give it a good shake from the bottom upwards. The hoodie is then laid down on the table and I fold the sleeves up. The last thing I like to do is straighten out the sleeves and smooth out any wrinkles that may have appeared.
Step Two
When you fold the hood down neatly, you should be able to fold it tightly onto the body of the hoodie. Get rid of wrinkles and buckling in the fabric by smoothing it out.
Step Three
Stack the sleeves on top of one another, then fold the hoodie neatly in half. Ensure that the hoodie side edges are lined up in a straight line.
Step Four
You can now neatly fold the sleeves back into the body of the hoodie.

Keep your hoodies organized
Even if you have a large collection of hoodies, folding them as described above should leave you with plenty of storage space. Keeping your folded hoodies in a drawer will make them easier to find when you need them. When folding your hoodie, always make sure that if your hoodie has a zipper, you zip it up before folding it, so that it is as neat as possible when you fold it down.
Is it better to fold hoodies or hang them?
In the event that you have the option, you may want to fold your hoodie and store it in a drawer. Because hoodies can be stretched by being hung up, they can be damaged. It is far less stressful on the materials when they are folded.
There are some factors that determine whether or not it is possible to hang or fold hoodies, such as the quality of the fabric, its thickness and often its sturdiness.
How to shrink hoodies
If you are looking for ways that you can shrink your hoodie, then there are definitely solutions that you can use. As soon as your hoodie has shrunk, it will be nearly impossible to get it back to its original shape.
Instead of diving in at the deep end and making it too small, we recommend you shrink it gradually, as you can always shrink it further if needed.
You have the following options if you want to shrink your hoodie:
For minimal shrinkage, wash your hoodie at a higher temperature in the washing machine (for example, 40°C – 50°C when the label directs you to wash at 30°C). After washing the hoodie on its own, you should let it air dry afterwards so that it doesn’t shrink.
For moderate shrinkage, wash your hoodie in a washing machine at a hot temperature between 50°C and 60°C. You may want to place it in a tumble dryer on a hot setting to further shrink the material, and check it periodically to ensure that you have achieved the desired effect.
If you want to shrink your hoodie the most, then you should place it in very hot water, which was just boiled. Put it completely under water and let it rest for between five and ten minutes, depending on how much shrinkage you want it to achieve.
The excess water needs to be wrung out before the clothes are placed in the tumble dryer on a high heat setting. It is recommended that you repeat the process in order to shrink it even further.
What should I do with my hoodies in my wardrobe?
The location where you store and organise your hoodie may vary according to the season. Place it in an easy-to-access place during winter months, such as a top drawer. When you wear your hoodie a lot, don’t place it at the bottom of your drawer. This increases your workload!
In The folded hoodie can be placed in the back of a drawer or on a higher shelf in your wardrobe during the summer months, as you will definitely have less need for it.
